Specification Guide Compliance Deadline

ASED is aware that the paper specification guides required for vehicle safety inspections are no longer in print. Electronic database specifications are available through subscription services.

All stations must have full compliance with the regulation by July 1, 2024.

Welcome to the Maryland State Police Vehicle Safety Inspection System.

The Vehicle Safety Inspection System enables Vehicle Inspectors in the state of Maryland to complete Class A, B, C, M, T and A/M Trailer inspections, and submit them electronically to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.

To use this system, Maryland Inspection Stations will need to set up a registration account. Click here to set up an account. Once registered, each station can set up accounts for individual station personnel.

Access to this system is restricted to authorized users only and limited to approved business purposes. By using this system, you expressly consent to the monitoring of all activities. Any unauthorized access or use of this system is prohibited and may result in criminal and civil penalties. All records, reports, e-mail, software, and other data generated by or residing upon this system are the property of The State of Maryland and may be used by The State of Maryland for any purpose.
